How do I create a working strategy?

Postby richardsfxcode44 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 5:37 pm

I need to create a program to alert me when the following indicators are arranged in a specific configuration: Bollinger Bands with 2 different periods; and, McGinley Dynamics with 3 different periods. Also, there will be a crossover of a Bollinger Band and another Bollinger Band. I do not know C or C++. And, I seem unable to find a program to facilitate downloading a .lua program: ie. the indicators. Help !!!

Hi!

There is two options to create the strategy using Lua indicators published on our site:

1) Write the strategy in Lua as well and then run it in Marketscope application. The Marketscope application is always installed together with Trading Station II client terminal, provided for free by many world-leading brokers, including FXCM, dbFX and hundreds of others. See http://www.fxcodebase.com/wiki/index.ph ... ndicoreSDK and http://www.fxcodebase.com/wiki/index.ph ... evelopment for details.

2) Write your strategy in C, C++, C#, VB.NET and use:
- Indicore Integration SDK to use the indicators. See http://www.fxcodebase.com/wiki/index.ph ... grationSDK for details.
- Forex Connect API or Order2Go to get the prices and trade. See http://www.fxcodebase.com/wiki/index.ph ... rexConnect and http://www.fxcodebase.com/wiki/index.ph ... y:Order2Go

You can read more about SDKs here:
http://www.fxcodebase.com/wiki/index.ph ... Proper_SDK
(and it seems that we need an article to explain pros and cons for a robot and a Marketscope strategy, will do it today)

If you need help you can also always ask any questions in this forum (or forums about APIs:
viewforum.php?f=21, viewforum.php?f=36 and viewforum.php?f=37) or contact development.service@gehtsoftusa.com to order the premium support.
