Overlaying two Different MACD histograms with signal lines

Postby Marianayagam » Thu Jul 18, 2019 3:52 pm

Hello,
I came across the following version of the MACD indicator on a youtube video(Please see link), which according to the commentator in the video, was used in a Forex trading competition.

Link to Youtube video showing the version of the MACD Indicator that was used in the trading competition:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFSBwyukk-0

Was wondering if this indicator could be developed with the option to choose the colour of the histogram, and the colour of the signal line.

Fxcodebase.com already has "half " of the indicator that is referred to in the video.
The name of the indicator in fxcodebase.com is " MACD_Colored_Histogram ".
Please see link:

The only addition to this indicator that is needed is the choice to OVERLAY a second " MACD_Colored_Histogram ", with different settings, on the first histogram, as shown in the video.

Also would love the option to choose the type of moving averages for the MACD.
Fxcodebase.com already has an indicator titled MACD (20 in 1 MA), that allows the user to choose the moving average(s).
Please see link for MACD (20 in 1 MA):

Thanking you in advance.

Sincerely,
Merryl

Your request is added to the development list under Id Number 4796
As I understand video, only two MACD lines are overlayed.

Hello,

Oops sorry, my mistake. I was able to import the indicator.
Initially, I forgot to click on the link, and instead, tried to drag and drop it which resulted in the aforementioned message.

sincerely,
Merryl

Hello,

Tried the indicator. Would prefer 2 Histograms instead of the 2 lines.

Hello,

SUPER!!!
Thank you ever so much. Appreciate it.
The option to show the signal lines of both MACDs, together with the option to choose the signal line thickness would be NICE.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Once again, thank you very much!!!

Sincerely,
Merryl

Hello,

When the option to show signal lines, and the option to choose their thickness are added, and the signal lines are set at ONE for both histograms, and their thickness is set at 4 or 5 , they function as a border thus CLEARLY dilineating or outlining both histograms, just as in the youtube video.

Thanking you in advance.

Sincerely,
Merryl
